A few interesting links

During the last couple of weeks, I have come across some interesting sites on the Internet. These links encompass various categories and although, I don’t claim that they are the only ones in those categories, I can definitely vouch for the quality of these websites. (1). http://www.raaga.com – I use this site primarily to check out the songs of new music albums (films/non-films). If the songs are good, then I go to the next step of either downloading these songs and burning them, or simply buying the complete music album. This site covers songs in Hindi, Tamil and Telegu. (2). http://www.tazaradio.com – This is an Online Radio (24/7) site, which primarily plays classics (R.D.Burman, Laxmi Pyare etc) and this is a must, when you are doing some programming and need to listen to some ‘known’ songs, which you can hum, but don’t need to concentrate on. (3). http://www.humfm.com/live/player.htm – This is an Online Radio station based in UAE. There is a live DJ and the songs are played on the requests that people send in. The only blemish in this site is that the songs are mostly the new ones [the jhatka numbers]. Perfect to listen on a Friday afternoon, when you have completed most of the work for the week – of course, you can listen to it even when you don’t have any work to do :). (4). http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/recalls/recallsearch.cfm – Search for your type of vehicle and you may find some of the recalls that you are unaware of. Its really useful if you are not an automobile freak and only care about your car once in 3 months [at the time of oil-change!] Cheers, Thyaga
